Stories in Museums
I have a passion for storytelling. I am fascinated by human psychology and what motivates people. Early in my career, I worked in museums developing and producing exhibitions. What I enjoyed most about my experience in museums were the exhibition development process and the visitor engagement insights gleaned from the post-exhibit survey data.
An exhibition is a powerful educational tool to tell a story, captivate an audience, and create new opportunities for engagement. They also serve as a way to elevate the value of the organization. From 2007-2012 I facilitated the launch of seven national exhibits at the Cooper Hewitt, Smithsonian National Design Museum, Lillian Nassau Gallery, the Center for Architecture and Design, New York, and the Oakland Museum of California.
